Building Information Modeling, also known as BIM is a kind of a process which uses CAD services in order to make building data structures. It represents 3d model of a building and it is used to maintain these building structures as well.

Now as mentioned above, BIM services use following CAD services for developing building models:

3D Modeling
Architectural Modeling
Civil/Structural Design and Modeling
Mechanical Design and Drafting.

When using this BIM services, some key features are to be taken care of such as what measure of building material or building parts should we use, feasible building plans and other building related information. If someone wants professional and accurate BIM, then he should take care of whether the building model represents whole process beginning from construction to end.
