Philadelphia University is a good school of architecture?

I am currently a studentd at Philadelphia University. halfway through my second semester I was forced to withdraw for medical reasons, to make things easier, I decided instead to catch up ill take it slowly and virtually be a first-year again next year and take it slower. my parents are worried that the Philadelphia university is not known enough and I do not want the benefits after I graduate, to a better known school will offer.

According www.naab.org (National Architectural Accreditation Board), Philadelphia University was first recognized for their architectural program in 1997. This is not a significant amount of time, but because there is an accreditation body that has reviewed the curriculum at your school, you can be sure you get a pretty well rounded and balanced set of courses to take, and the required curriculum must give you a good foundation for your education in architecture. After having personally been through an architectural program, I would offer this bit of opinion. Architecture is a very hands on type of area, and most of your skills / knowledge will come from, what you put into it directly. Most of what you'll get out of your experience in a university will not come directly from a professor or a lecture, it comes from your personal growth. Professors are merely guides who will give you advice and help you find your way. A professor may mean very little to a student, but be guiding and mentor of the next. It's about personal growth and I am taking the view that it does not matter much which university you attend as long as it has a good foundation. If Philly is a place that you enjoy, go there. But remember that architecture is not passive, and you can not just coast your way through and expect to come out with much. Good luck!
