why is the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington,DC said to be the most moving war memorial ever built?

a)it was designed by a young female architecture student and not a government committee
b) its a work of art that has the power to touch the emotions of the spectator
c)its highly abstract and unlike the realistic memorials that one sees in parks and town greens around the USA
d) its located not far from Frederick Hart's bronze STATUE FOR VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL

C. It is a long wall, with the names of our dead carved into it. The wall conforms to the slope above it, not sticking out into the landscape. Instead of the heroic structures (like the Hart statue) of other memorials, it accepts sadness and loss as well as pride.
