Architecture Festival Hong Kong
Located in Guangdong province in southern China, Shenzhen is a sub-provincial city, bordering the Pearl River Delta and Hong Kong in the south, and Dongguan and Huizhou to the north. Because of its strategic location, Shenzhen offers great potential for economic growth and is considered the economic capital of the country.
Sometimes, Shenzhen is called backyard in Hong Kong because it is within close to Hong Kong and thus allows for a convenient day trip from Shenzhen to Hong Kong or vice versa. Shenzhen boasts a long history with more than 1500 years. Once a small typical fishing village known as Baoan County, the destination, got its present name in 1979 when Deng Xiaoping, the then communist party chairman, gave the place the designation of special economic zone.

Administered of the Guangdong Provincial Government, Shenzhen is divided into six areas, such as, Luohu, Futian, Nanshan, Yantian, Bao'an and Longgang, including four first located in the special economic zone (SEZ.) Luohu is in the eastern part of the special economic zone, and is considered the financial and commercial center of town.
Located in the heart of SEZs, Futian serves as the destination's center for administration, culture and commerce. Nanshan regarded as the learning and Western logistics in Shenzhen and is in the western part of the special economic zone. Located on the east of the SEZ, Yantian is very famous as a center for tourism.
Nearby Dapeng Bay and Daya Bay, Longgang district is popular as a center for hi-tech export processing and logistics distribution. When you get to Bao'an, it covers an area of approximately 715 square kilometers and serves as a base for modern agriculture. In addition, Shenzhen is also a provincial town under the control of the central government.

Located in Shenzhen's Oversea Chinese Town, Splendid China is another prominent attraction of the destination. Also known as Shenzhen Miniature Kingdom, Splendid China is one of the largest miniature scenery parks in the world, with copies of almost all locations in the country, such as the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses in Xian, the Great Wall, Forbidden City, the Old Summer Palace, the Ancient Observatory Beijing, Potala Palace, the Mogao Caves of Dunhuang, Huangshan, Li River, and much more.
This beautiful miniature park managed by China Travel Service, and is divided in two sections, such as a Scenic Spot Area and a large area. It is estimated that there are more than 50,000 ceramic figures in the park.
Attractions in Shenzhen also include Window of the World, a replica park located in the western part of town. At the heart of the park is showy reproductions of the world wonderful and scenic places such as Eiffel Tower, the Tower of London, Roman Coliseum, Pyramids, Niagara Falls and Grand Canyon, Manhattan, and Mahamuni Pagoda in Rangoon. In short, when you leave the park after seen these copies, you feel like you've toured the world in a day.
Other not to miss attractions in town include the Shenzhen Museum, Shenzhen Grand Theater, He Xiang Ning Art Gallery, and Guan Shanyue Art Gallery.
